How does an online alarm clock work?
Our online alarm clock runs entirely in your browser — no download or installation required. Choose your desired alarm time, either by clicking a quick preset or entering the time manually. Then select one of twelve alarm sounds and press "Set Alarm". When the clock reaches the set time, the alarm plays and you receive a notification (if you have allowed browser notifications).
Important: Because the alarm runs in your browser, you need to keep the tab open for it to work. If you close the tab, let your computer go to sleep, or switch to another app on mobile, the alarm may be silenced or delayed. It works best on a computer or laptop that stays awake.
The alarm clock is perfect for short reminders during the workday, power naps, or as a backup alarm. You can name each alarm (for example "Meeting" or "Lunch") to keep track of what it is for. The "Test Sound" button lets you preview the alarm sound so you can find the tone that suits you best.
Why use a browser-based alarm?
A browser-based alarm clock is convenient when you are already working at your computer and need a quick reminder without installing any software. It automatically detects your local timezone, so there is no configuration needed. Whether you are at home, at the office, or traveling, the alarm adjusts to your current location.
With twelve different alarm sounds — from a classic alarm bell to white noise — you can pick a tone that fits the situation. Use a gentle melody for a morning wake-up, or a loud buzzer when you need something impossible to ignore.
